I feel like I'm rediscovering who I am. A ton of shit has happened this year, and was even happening when I wrote that last journal entry. I left it up for a long time because I felt that it was something people need to hear. Now, I don't mean to sound whiny here, I'm just trying to thinking aloud. I want to live life to its fullest. I want to experience, relate, learn and think and grow. But at the same time I don't want to be so focused on experiencing that I make bad choices. I don't want to be so focused on thinking that I forget how to relate.
For those who can understand the concept, this is known as the fear of God.
But at the same time God releases you to live life without fear.
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." Matthew 10:28
This isn't talking about the devil, yo. Now, steering away from religious talk before nobody can understand me anymore: There's a very large group of people out there (and I talk for America only, because I don't know the rest of the world) who avoid "sinners" like the plague. They avoid talking to the Muslims they see at the grocery store. Their entire opinion of people is based solely on whether they cuss or not. I despise over simplifying things, and I find generalizations often to... well, general. But I can speak for this group because I've grown up in it. Even apart from churches, culture is saturated with judgment, which is shocking for a culture which doesn't believe in absolute good or evil.

I know this is long, but here's my point: Jesus went out of his way to hang out with "sinners". He could often be found hanging around tax collectors (thieves), prostitutes (sluts), and lepers (sick people/homeless). Christ's out reach wasn't formulated, bureaucratized, or heavily funded or anything of the sort. He just loved on anyone who came his way. I can't help but feel like I, and many others I know have been both a simpleton and a hypocrite not to see this and put it to practice. So this I add to my spiritual value system: just love on people, and be real with them.
